emPOWER AI Featured in "Artificial Intelligence is already in use at HHS" Politico Article

The HHS emPOWER Program’s tool, emPOWER AI, was recently featured in Politico's article, "Artificial Intelligence is already in use at HHS", as one of four ways HHS is leveraging AI in its day-to-day activities. emPOWER AI is a public, voice-activated tool available through Amazon Alexa that provides de-identified totals for Medicare beneficiaries who rely on electricity-dependent durable medical equipment and/or certain essential health care services at the national, state, county, and ZIP Code levels and helps emergency and first responders on the front line of every incident, emergency or disaster.

The HHS emPOWER Map Launches New Natural Hazard Data Layers

The HHS emPOWER Map is pleased to announce the launch of additional natural hazard data layers which provides dynamic, real-time data on environmental conditions to help communities better anticipate, plan for, and address the potential needs of electricity-dependent at-risk individuals who may rapidly need assistance in the event of an incident, emergency, or disaster.

The HHS emPOWER Program Launches a New Platform to Support Community Partners

The HHS emPOWER Program (emPOWER) has officially launched the HHS emPOWER Program Platform, a new mobile-ready technical assistance platform that provides public health, health care, and emergency management organizations, first responders, power companies, and many other partners with emPOWER data, tools, training, and informational resources to help them anticipate, plan for, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and disasters in their communities.
